Structured Cabling – Copper: more than 3,000 network points with the Furukawa Gigalan Augmented Category 6A F/UIP Solution and more than 320 fiber optic points with the Furukawa leralan OM4 Multimode Solution for the interconnection backbone between the data center and the technical rooms, and more than 30 open racks of the Fufukawa IIMAX SoKition. The supplied cables have special jackets type IS2H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen – low smoke emission without toxic gases) with international standards Llo-mabilkJad ISO/lEC 60332-3, ISO/lEC 61034-2 (smoke emission) and ISO/lEC 60754-2 (toxic gases emission), specific for apScations where there is a large influx of people.
The answer to these needs came from Furukawa in conjunction with its integrator Melacorp, with which the Hospital de la Mujer “Alfredo G. Paulson”, managed to resolve the requirements regarding the implementation of a technological communication infrastructure and achieved Provide a structured cabling in Category 6A F/UTP copper of the Gigalan Augmented solution ready for 10Gb/s transmissions and Back Bone with optical cables and OM4 multimode accessories of the Teralan solution prepared for transmissions up to 40Gb/s, under the demanding international regulatory requirements structured cabling such as ANSI/TIA-568, and ANSI/TIA-1179, which is the specific standard for healthcare environments.
Additionally, to guarantee the quality of the cabling application, the hospital has a Furukawa extended warranty of up to 25 years for the performance of both copper and fiber optic channels.
BENEFITS
This important work was built with the purpose of offering specialized care for women, and that it is able to attend not only gyneco-obstetric specialties but others related to women’s health. This project comprises three buildings in an area of 90,000 M2, 36,000 M2 for its hospitalization building, 6,000 M2 for external consultation and 1,000 M2 for teaching. Today, the “Alfredo G. Paulson” Women’s Hospital has a capacity for 533 beds and a staff of 1,200 professionals, 65% of whom are doctors, paramedics and technicians.
