Social actions with Scala Data Centers in partnership with Furukawa and Klint

Ícone de um calendário

We had the opportunity to celebrate some of our many achievements in our sustainable journey. Our dedicated efforts throughout 2023 in recycling cables have earned us the ‘Cheque Verde’ (Green Check) from Furukawa Electric LatAm, in partnership with Klint Distribuidora de Soluções Tecnológicas, as part of the ‘Programa Green IT’ (Green IT Program). This check, a result of our circular economy strategy, has empowered us to share 100% of the money with the community surrounding our 450 MW IT Tamboré Campus, in Barueri, Brazil. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda, underscoring our commitment to social responsibility such as:

SENAI Jandira (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial/National Service for Industrial Training) Training Program: Focused on empowering economically disadvantaged youth near our Tamboré Campus, this initiative equips them with critical skills in data center operations, particularly in air conditioning systems.

Cepac Barueri – The Employability Center: Targeting 15–24-year-old adolescents and young adults from socially vulnerable backgrounds, our support has facilitated the acquisition of 14 laptops. These essential tools will aid their development and preparation for the job market, reflecting our commitment to bridging the digital divide and enhancing employability.

Nestor de Camargo Municipal School (EMEF): Located adjacent to our Tamboré Campus, the school has benefited from our donation of a high-capacity water cooler and the revitalization of two gardens. These efforts not only address the basic needs of over 1,500 individuals but also tackle environmental issues like soil erosion, thereby enhancing safety and improving the quality of communal spaces within the school area.
